Debora Maiques Marin born in Barcelona, Spain.

 

Education ; complete all the exams by the RAD and train by the well-known and experienced teachers,Elise Lummis and Rodolfo Castellanos.

QUALIFIED PILATES TEACHER: MAT / CHAIR / CADILLAC / REFORMER / POSTNATAL / BARREL PILATESWISS ZURICH.

 

 

With a career as Leading Soloist Dancer for over 23 years in Spain & Switzerland,  I have worked with many well known Choreographers from around the world,

 

Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Rami Be’er, Jiri Kylian, Jorma Elo, Angelin Preljockaj, Christopher Bruce, Mauro Bigonzetti, Richard Wherlock, Nacho Duato, Toni Fabre, Patrick de Bana, Yoko Taira, Angel Rodriguez, Mario Zambrano, Pascal Touzeau, Ramon Oller, Stephan Thoss, Stijn Celis, Alexander Ekman, Blanca Li, Ed Wubbe, Hofesh Schechter, among others.

 

Prizes & Galas

• Nominated as Best Dancer in Switzerland 2009.

• Performed with the Ballet of Cuba for the Festival of Havana.

• Won the Gold Medal in the IV National Dance Competition ‘Ciudad de Castellon’ in the Contemporary category.

• Received the Silver Medal in the III National Dance Competition ‘Ciudad de Ribarroja’.

• Granted a scholarship in the Ballet Category by the Catalan Federation of Dance Teachers.

• Awarded a scholarship by the Royal Academy of Dance for a summer course in London.

 

BALLET MASTER & CHOREOGRAPHY TEACHER VARIOUS | PRESENT   

• Led as a Rehearsal Director and Ballet master for the Jura Dance Festival, setting the piece Bolero of Ravel from Richard Wherlock in 2023. 

• Choreographer Assistant for Swan Lake from Stijn Celis in Introdance Company, Netherlands 2023.

• Rehearsal Director for Ciao Ciao production,from Martin Zimmerman in Basel Ballet, Switzerland 2022/23.

• Pro UKBB Stiftung (Childrens hopsital foundation in Basel) , Leading the dancing project and setting-up the chreography, supporting children with challenging   needs including Autism and Downs Syndrome. Created original choreography, infusing it with artistic vision, technical proficiency, and creative storytelling.
